To help youth build strength of character and a foundation for success on the tennis court, in the classroom and in life.

Grassroots is a youth development nonprofit organization that uses the sport of tennis to engage youth in holistic out-of-school time programming. This free, year-round program combines tennis instruction with academic support and character development.

Grassroots is a chapter of the USTA National Junior Tennis and Learning network.

Grassroots serves over 250 children each year ages 5 to 18 with a relationship-first approach that brings together children and their families with dedicated volunteers and caring staff.

Teaching  the great game of tennis to foster fitness, confidence, teamwork and leadership.

Supporting strong academics through homework help, academic enrichment and college prep.

Fostering future leaders who are the best they can be on the court, in the classroom and in life.

“Everything I’ve learned in tennis has made me a better person on and off the court ... in school, becoming a better student, just being a better person overall.”

Luis, Grassroots Alumnus
